ASD Students Bring Student Perspective to Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council
SHARE
Students from American School Dhahran (ASD) were proud representatives in the first Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council (SSAC) meeting of the 2025-26 academic year, joining 31 student representatives from across ISG schools. The meeting marked the beginning of a collaborative year focused on student leadership and amplifying student voice.
The session emphasized the importance of student leadership across the district. Students engaged in meaningful conversations around ISG’s mission and values, the traits of effective leaders and the role of student data in shaping decisions. They also reviewed student feedback surveys, reflected on past implementations and explored how student input continues to shape the school experience across campuses.
The SSAC empowers students to listen, advocate, collaborate, advise and lead by example, a guiding framework that reflects ISG’s commitment to meaningful student engagement. Through this platform, students are encouraged to share their insights, actively gather feedback from their peers, represent their school communities with integrity and contribute to district-wide discussions.
The SSAC plays a vital role in reinforcing ISG’s values and ensuring that student perspectives remain at the heart of decision-making processes, while also providing valuable leadership experience and collaboration opportunities across ISG schools.
As the year progresses, ASD looks forward to seeing how our student leaders will continue to advocate for their peers and help build a more inclusive, responsive and forward-thinking school community.
