BSD Students Excel in UKMT Senior Maths Challenge

Earlier this month, selected BSD students took part in the UKMT Senior Maths Challenge (SMC), a prestigious and internationally recognised mathematics competition organised by the University of Leeds. The competition has been running since 1996 and continues to inspire mathematical curiosity and problem-solving across the globe.

On 9th October, the challenge was completed by all Year 12 and Year 13 students studying A Level Mathematics, along with sixteen students from the Year 11 accelerated maths class.

Although the Senior Maths Challenge is primarily designed for students in Years 12 and 13, younger students are also eligible to enter.

Results from this year’s competition are eagerly awaited, and BSD is proud of all the students who took on the challenge.
