The recent SAIKAC cricket tournament brought together talented teams from across the region, including ISG Jubail, BISAK, ISG Dammam, BISR, BSD and American School Dhahran. Hosted at the Jubail Multipurpose Court, the one-day competition featured a streamlined format: the top team from each group advanced to the final, while the second-place teams competed for third place.

ASD delivered its strongest performance during the group stage, highlighted by an impressive 180-run victory over ISG Dammam. The team executed its game plan with precision, reflecting the preparation and guidance of coaches Rasha Al-Nasr and Richard Smith. ASD also battled through a tightly contested match against BISAK, the team that ultimately won the tournament, falling short by only a small margin.

Even so, the tournament featured memorable moments. The performance captured the team’s potential and demonstrated what is possible when players remain united and focused.

ASD’s U-14 cricket team also competed at the SAIKAC tournament in Jubail and brought home the bronze medal. The young athletes demonstrated excellent sportsmanship, determination and remarkable growth throughout the season. Thank you to our U-14 coach, Mr. Evan Godsiff, for supporting and guiding our young athletes throughout their successful campaign.

Together, these performances underscore the strength of ASD’s cricket program and the dedication of students and coaches who continue to elevate the sport across our schools.
