A WOW Week to Remember for ISG Jubail Students in Bahrain

ISG Jubail middle school students experienced learning in a powerful and memorable way during Week Without Walls (WOW) through an experiential trip to Bahrain. The journey invited students to step beyond the classroom and engage with learning through adventure, collaboration and real world experiences that encouraged independence and curiosity.

Traveling alongside peers from ISG Dammam, students took part in desert camping and a wide range of structured outdoor activities designed to build confidence and teamwork. Days were filled with cycling, paddle boarding, canoeing, archery, raft building and team challenges that encouraged students to communicate clearly, support one another and approach challenges with resilience. Each experience offered moments of growth as students learned to adapt, problem solve and work together in new environments.

Environmental responsibility was an important part of the experience. Students participated in a beach clean up and environmental awareness activities, gaining a deeper understanding of sustainability and shared responsibility. Evenings created space for connection and reflection through shared meals, local music and entertainment, movie night and quiet moments of stargazing under the desert sky. These moments strengthened friendships and allowed students to reflect on their experiences together.

The trip also included cultural visits to the Tree of Life and Bahrain Fort, helping students connect their learning to the region’s history and heritage. Throughout the journey, students demonstrated maturity, cooperation and care for one another as they navigated unfamiliar settings and new challenges with confidence.
