ISG Jubail Staff Embrace Wellness Through Healthy Living Challenge

Staff members at ISG Jubail recently came together for a wellness session and healthy living after-school challenge designed to encourage intentional habits, balance and long-term wellbeing. Hosted by the Emotional Wellbeing and Work Life Balance Wellness Committee, chaired by Preetha Nataraj, the gathering created space for meaningful conversations about health that extended far beyond numbers or appearances. Open to all staff, the session focused on building sustainable routines, caring for both physical and mental wellbeing and making thoughtful choices that support a healthier lifestyle over time.
Throughout the session, staff reflected on how wellness is connected to everyday habits and the importance of approaching health with care and balance. The committee also led a series of healthy cooking demonstrations, where staff members learned how to prepare healthy and quick no-cook snacks, helping make nutritious choices feel more accessible during busy school days. Conversations encouraged participants to think about how nutrition, rest, hydration and mindfulness all contribute to overall wellbeing.
A special guest, Dr. Gayathri Deepak, also joined the session and helped staff reflect on the importance of prioritizing personal health through a motivational talk and interactive activities. One teacher shared how the experience shifted the way she thinks about health and nutrition.
“I’ve learned that health is more important than just losing weight,” the teacher said. “We’re supposed to enjoy our meals, eat slowly and chew well. The goal isn’t only to lose weight, but it’s to feel healthier.”
Another teacher reflected on the importance of balance in daily wellbeing.
“Health is interconnected,” the teacher shared. “Good wellbeing depends on the balance between nutritious eating, quality sleep and mental wellbeing. Small habits matter.”
The wellness session reflected the caring culture that continues to shape ISG Jubail. As the healthy living challenge continues, staff members have continued encouraging one another, exchanging ideas and building healthier routines together. Through these everyday choices and conversations, the community continues to approach wellbeing with intention, balance and compassion.
