The final Campus Council meeting of the school year brought parents, teachers and students together at ISG Jubail for an afternoon centered on reflection, collaboration and shared perspectives. The Campus Council serves as a collaborative group that brings together voices from across the school community to support thoughtful decision making, strengthen and help guide the continued growth of campus life and learning. The meeting created space for meaningful conversations while celebrating the progress and experiences that shaped the year.
The gathering began with a warm welcome and opening remarks, followed by reflections from incoming principal Ms. Kristin Kappelmann. Families, students and staff had the opportunity to hear about the importance of community partnership and the value of continuing to work together through open communication and shared goals.
A major highlight of the afternoon came from the Eco Club’s student-led presentation, where students shared the many sustainability initiatives taking place across campus throughout the year. Students spoke confidently about the daily habits and long-term projects helping shape ISG Jubail’s Eco-School journey, including recycling efforts, composting initiatives, conservation reminders around campus and plans for future environmental projects. Their presentation reflected a strong sense of responsibility and pride in the work being done to care for the school environment.
Following the presentation, Campus Council members joined students for an Eco Tour around campus. Students guided families and staff through different project spaces, sharing updates on current initiatives, future goals and the progress that has already been made through collective effort and student leadership. Conversations throughout the tour created opportunities for students to explain their thinking and reflect on the impact of their work.
The meeting also included a presentation from the middle and high school counselor, Mrs. Tricia Jordaan, who shared updates connected to graduating seniors, university acceptances and upcoming senior celebrations and activities. As the meeting came to a close, council members reflected on the importance of continuing to build strong relationships across the school community.
The afternoon ended with appreciation for the many students, families and staff members whose voices and involvement continue to inspire and positively impact life at ISG Jubail.
