Each month at ISG Jubail, we focus on one Profile of Graduates, giving students opportunities to explore what each quality means and how they can put it into practice in their everyday lives. September’s focus was Growth Mindset and our elementary students came together at the end of the month to celebrate what they had learned.

The assembly kicked off with Principal Kristin Kappelman and Assistant Principal Sanjeev Jangra who welcomed students with plenty of energy and helped set the tone for a celebration filled with enthusiasm. Students and teachers soon got on their feet, moving and dancing together as the assembly came to life. The shared energy across the room created a wonderful sense of connection.

Then it was time for Jaguars Got Talent. Alongside their teacher, Melek Demir, students took to the stage to share their talents, with performances that included singing, dancing and plenty of personality. For our students, taking part was about more than performing. It was an opportunity to try something new, take a chance and be proud of their effort.

That spirit connected beautifully with September’s focus on Growth Mindset. A growth mindset encourages students to see learning as a process, embrace challenges and understand that abilities can develop through effort and practice. Standing in front of their peers to perform takes courage and each student who stepped onto the stage had the opportunity to grow through the experience.

The audience played an important role, too. Families, students and teachers celebrated our young performers with encouragement and enthusiasm, creating an environment where students could feel supported as they shared their talents with their school community.

As September comes to a close, our elementary students have had the opportunity to think about what a growth mindset can look like in their own lives. Whether they were performing on stage, cheering from the audience or trying something new, students were encouraged to keep learning, keep practicing and keep believing in what they can achieve.
