ISG Jubail’s U16 and U19 volleyball teams recently took part in friendly games against Al-Hussan International School, giving student-athletes a valuable opportunity to put their skills into practice and continue developing through competition.

Throughout the games, teamwork played an important role. Players communicated on the court, called for passes and encouraged one another after mistakes. They also worked together defensively and looked for opportunities to keep the play moving, showing their commitment to supporting their teammates.

For coach Haidar Alaqoul, one of the most rewarding parts of the match was watching the players work as connected units from the opening whistle. Even when the game became challenging, they responded with determination, chased back to defend and continued working hard to regain possession. Their willingness to keep trying reflected the effort they have been putting into developing as athletes and teammates.

Coach Haidar Alaqoul also highlighted the enjoyment the players brought to the competition. Smiles, high-fives and words of encouragement were part of the game throughout the match, showing that the experience meant more than the final result. Friendly games give student-athletes the chance to put their skills into practice while learning to adapt to different opponents and situations.

For both the U16 and U19 teams, these opportunities are an important part of their development. Each game allows players to recognize their strengths, learn from challenges and build confidence as they continue training. The encouragement they share with teammates also helps create an environment where everyone can feel supported as they work toward their goals.
