Dear Parents,
On November 16, 2023, the Teaching and Learning Office at ISG hosted the annual ISG Learns conference, which brought all our staff and teachers together for a day of collaboration and learning. We were also fortunate to have experiential learning facilitator, Ms. Ivy Yan, lead our plenary session with a focus on compassion. Please watch a recap of the event here. You can also read a full description of the event here.
I am pleased to share that the ISG Typing Challenge is back, and is open to all students, parents, teachers and staff. This is a great opportunity to develop a practical, life-long skill. For more information about how to join, please click here. If you have any questions about the competition, please contact Mrs. Maha Sousak at [email protected]. I would also like to thank British School Dhahran for sponsoring the licenses to Typing Club.
ISG JUBAIL UPDATES:
On November 11, over 120 students from ASD and BSD participated in the 2023 Mini Model United Nations, representing the foreign policy of a diaspora of nations debating international law. Delegates from ASD middle school and high school and the BSD senior school participated in mock UN committees including the General Assembly, Security Council, Commission on Science and Technology, UN Human Rights Council and UNESCO. I would like to thank Ms. Zeinab Karnib and Ms. Jennifer Mayorga for supporting and guiding our students.
Registration for the ISG Alumni Sports Meet scheduled for December 2, is closing on Saturday, November 25. Please share this information with your children who have graduated from any ISG school or attended in the past. We look forward to welcoming them back to ISG.
Best wishes,
Michael P. Mack
