Dear Parents,
It was a pleasure to welcome our new staff to ISG this week. We have over 60 new members joining our community and attending our onboarding session.
ISG values its commitment to excellence, and we are thrilled to have such a talented and dedicated group of educators joining our already outstanding teams. Our new teachers come from diverse backgrounds and bring a wealth of experience and innovative ideas to our learning community. We look forward to them sharing their expertise, passion and dedication at ISG, contributing to a vibrant and enriching learning environment for our students.
We want our parents and community members to feel confident that their children are in the hands of exceptional professionals. Our teachers are not only highly qualified but also deeply committed to the success and wellbeing of every student. They are lifelong learners themselves, continuously seeking professional development opportunities to stay at the forefront of educational best practices.
As we begin this new school year, we are excited about the possibilities and the positive impact our new staff will have on our students and the community. We look forward to sharing the educational experiences that will be created for our students and celebrating how our students are engaging in our mission.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Together, we will ensure that our students thrive and succeed in an environment that values excellence, innovation and compassion.
On August 13, all ISG staff will join together in a full day of training and professional development in our annual ISG Convocation.
Our theme for this year will continue to build upon last year’s theme of “Acceptance, Inclusion and Respect”. Sessions will focus on how to support high quality teaching and student learning, the integration of technology and job alike sessions.
During this training day, we are excited to welcome the keynote speaker, Dr. Sean Truman, who will share on the topic of mental health vulnerability in students, a relevant and valuable learning experience for us all.
Mental health vulnerability in students has increased significantly in the last fifteen years, and school communities are working to support students who struggle with emotional wellbeing; keeping these students at school is a significant professional goal of the school community. The keynote will address what is causing these challenges for students and ways teachers, leadership and counselors can collaborate in support of students in their development of resilience.
As we approach the beginning of this new school year, we look forward to welcoming our students and families to campus to engage in another exciting year of learning.
