Summary
The bookkeeper is a key member providing support to ASD and BSD schools. The position is primarily responsible for overseeing the purchasing, stock control for the schools, and managing various financial-related tasks.
Position Duties
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Demonstrate a commitment to the safety and security of children and young people (child protection).
- Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of ISG District organization policies, practices, and procedures.
- Provide finance-related tasks in line with the business office requirements to support ASD and BSD schools.
- Ensure that all financial transactions comply with district policies and procedures.
- Manage, maintain, and follow up on local & overseas quotations, purchases, and process payments.
- Ensure correct receipt of goods and materials ordered locally and overseas.
- Maintain the database for the status of the locals and overseas orders.
- Monitor schools' operating accounts budget.
- Order and facilitate the distribution of student stationery packs.
- Ensure classroom and office supplies are maintained.
- Assist the principals in preparing a monthly credit card reconciliation report.
- Manage various school funds such as school clubs, study trips, graduation, etc.
- Facilitate requests for payments and cash advances.
- Provide and maintain customer service with all stakeholders.
- Manage the school's stores, including Swags and Yearbook.
- Process reconciliation and purchase orders.
- Review and approve expense reports.
- Be part of the safety and emergency team - if applicable.
- Ensure deadlines are met.
- Maintain a safe learning environment for students and staff at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Knowledge
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suites.

Experience
- In a finance role (preferred).
- Previous bookkeeping experience.
Skills
- Excellent command of English, both written and oral.
- Highly-developed organizational skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
