BSD Claims First Place at ISG Robotics Jamboree

On May 17, British School Dhahran proudly hosted the first-ever ISG Jamboree for the First Lego League (FLL), bringing together teams from across ISG schools for a spirited day of innovation, collaboration and competition. Seven teams from BSD, ASD and ISG Dammam participated in this exciting event, highlighting the incredible talent and teamwork of students from both primary and senior or high school divisions.

BSD’s own team, Chicken Jockey, claimed first place with an impressive 175 points. ASD’s Robot Eaters followed in second place with 155 points, while ISG Dammam’s Circuit Masters secured third place with 150 points. The competition was close, with just 25 points separating the top three teams, reflecting the high level of skill and preparation across the board.

Throughout the event, students competed in three 2.5-minute rounds, completing missions from this year’s FLL Submerged challenge. Each round tested their abilities in programming, robot design, problem solving, and most importantly, teamwork. It was during these rounds that teams demonstrated their programming, building, problem solving, and collaboration skills to collect points and complete missions.

What stood out most was the collaborative spirit among teams, who supported one another and shared ideas in the true spirit of learning.
