The BSME U11 tournament took place in Abu Dhabi, where 27 BSD students proudly represented the school, competing against other British schools in the Middle East. The boys participated in basketball, football and athletics, while the girls competed in netball, football and athletics.
In football, the boys displayed superb cohesion and dynamics and dominated every game to be crowned runners up. This was one of our best achievements for boys BSME football. Meanwhile, the girls strived in football, reaching a superb 6th place!
The boys continued their mastery in sport, and flourished on the basketball courts placing a respectful 6th. The girls maintained their strong mindset and gave everything in their netball games, demonstrating excellent teamwork and resilience.
Finally, in swimming our BSD students continued their success with achieving the following:
One team silver, two individual silver and two individual bronze.
In athletics, our students achieved remarkable success yet again with achieving:
1st:
Girls High Jump
Girls 300m
Girls 600m
2nd:
Girls long jump
3rd:
Boys long jump
Boys 300m
Our athletics superstar was also named "Female Athlete of the Day" after winning three gold medals!
This was an unforgettable experience for our athletes building on history where they demonstrated exceptional sportsmanship, excelled in their respective sports and competed against peers from across the Middle East.
Appreciation goes to Coaches Estelle Le Roux, Phelia Weir, Nourhan Arnaoot, Rufino Mabborang and Nicola Cummack for their dedication and support throughout this fantastic trip.
