On January 18-20, 24 British School Dhahran students participated in the British Schools of the Middle East (BSME) Games held in Bahrain.

The boys' teams competed in athletics, football and volleyball, and the girls’ teams competed in athletics, football and netball.

BSD placed sixth overall out of 12 schools. This is a fantastic achievement considering BSD competed against British schools with eight form entries and there are three per year for BSD. This shows just how skilled our young athletes are in comparison to the other British schools in the Middle East.

Special mentions to one BSD female student who won the netball player of the tournament award, our girls football team for placing second, and our boys volleyball team for placing fourth. Moreover, one male BSD student placed third in the 800 meter track race and a female student placed second in the 100 meter track race.
