BSD Primary: Field trip to Carrefour Supermarket in Rashid

During the week, our Busy Bees and Trusty Tigers enjoyed an educational visit to Carrefour supermarket, focusing on healthy, balanced meals. The welcoming Carrefour staff made our young learners feel right at home as they worked in the bakery kitchen, crafting their own pizzas—a delightful, hands-on experience!

We also shopped for vegetables and fruit, then back at school, we continued our culinary adventures by cooking vegetable soup, making vegetable salad and a friendship fruit salad.

The supermarket visit is a field trip as part of the unit Healthy Living and Nutrition. In this unit children learn about food groups, healthy foods and healthy habits. These activities beautifully reinforced the importance of nutritious eating and teamwork in a fun, memorable way.
