BSD Seniors Visit Scitech “World of Light” Exhibit

Our Week Without Walls Campers followed up their two days of desert camping with a day trip to Scitech and the Corniche.

At Scitech, students visited the “World of Light” exhibition where they experienced a series of interactive exhibits set against a backdrop of the Islamic Golden Age and the story of Ibn Al-Haytham.

Having learnt about the science behind light, optics and vision students went on to investigate this further using cameras, lasers, kaleidoscopes and much more.  The knowledge gained further enhances student understanding of content from both the science and humanities curriculum.

The afternoon saw the students experience the beauty of the Corniche, where they enjoyed a range of fun outdoor activities as well as a communal picnic.
