BSD U16 Girls Win SAIKAC Badminton

In an incredibly strong competition, British School Dhahran’s U16 girls badminton team won first place at the SAIKAC U16 Badminton Tournament.

Hosted at ISG Dammam in the Eastern Province, the competition on February 8-9 brought 10 schools from around the kingdom two days of matches on the badminton courts: British School Dhahran, American School Dhahran, ISG Dammam, ISG Jubail, The KAUST School, American International School in Riyadh, British International School Al-Khobar (BISAK), Aramco Dhahran, Aramco Abqaiq and Aramco Ras Tanura.

The badminton courts were energized by the talented athletes, intense matches and loud cheers of supporters, but the other teams were no match for our Lions’ technical abilities and commitment to finish strong.

Along with our BSD girls A team winning gold, the girls B team took 6th place, the boys A team were plate champions, and the boys B team were plate runners up.

Congratulations to all our athletes and their coaches Mr David Bolton, Ms Catharine Abad, and Ms Lady Laine Lubugain on a fantastic finish to the season.

Go Lions!
