BSD Upper Primary Performance: The Amazing Adventures of Superstan

On February 7-8, upper primary students at British School Dhahran participated in a lively and hilarious performance, The Amazing Adventures of Superstan.

Written by Craig Hawes, a leading composer of musicals for children, with thousands of young children performing his smash-hits around the world, the marvellous musical packed a powerful punch with its witty script, crazy characters and spectacular songs, and gave the audience an unforgettable show that was quite simply SUPER!

Our talented primary students took the stage twice, once performing to their peers in primary school and another performing for family and friends.  Auditions and rehearsals began in November 2023, and 125 students practiced their songs during music and singing class. Homeroom teachers prepared each scene, guiding students through the dialogue, and students continued to work hard, practice and learn their lines during winter break as well.

Congratulations to our young performers for a fantastic show, and thanks to Mr Barry Maher for his direction, Mr Simon Horsey for music production, Ms Hajer Ben Ali for leading props and set design, our classroom teachers that practiced dialogue and scenes with lead characters and all our teacher assistants that helped with costumes and set design.
