ISG Jubail School Council Collaborates on Future Plans and Community Strengthening

The ISG Jubail School Council, made up of parent volunteers, students and leadership, recently met with Mrs. Dugan and Mrs. Cays to discuss key school updates and future plans. The council meets four times a year to help improve the school experience for all members of the community.

Key Updates and Developments

The meeting began with updates on the Grade 1 and Grade 2 playground renovation, which includes resurfacing the grounds for safest play. Additionally, Mrs. Dugan shared exciting news about a new partnership with Juventus Football Academy, with academy representatives praising ISG Jubail’s football field during their visit.

Mrs. Dugan also highlighted the school’s growing enrollment, which reflects increased community interest and support.

Improving Food Services and Evaluations

The council discussed potential improvements to the school’s food services, focusing on quality, nutrition and variety. They plan to collaborate with Operations Manager Mr. Joe Bearns alongside students in Superintendent Student Advisory Committee (SSAC) to find the best food provider option for our community.

Preparation for MSA Evaluation

In preparation for the upcoming MSA evaluation, the council reviewed self-assessment scores, emphasizing the importance of constructive feedback and setting realistic goals for school growth.

Parent Suggestions and Community Engagement

Parents offered several valuable suggestions, including cost-effective dress code options, new Jaguar merchandise designs to promote school spirit and unity, and after-school language activities. There was a particular interest in expanding coding and computer science opportunities.

The council also discussed ways to encourage more parent volunteering, suggesting social events like tea parties to build stronger community ties and increase inclusivity.
