U14 Volleyball Jamboree Marks Another Step Forward for ISG Jubail Athletics

The U14 Volleyball Jamboree was an opportunity for ISG Jubail’s girls and boys teams to come together through their shared love of the game. Competing at ISG Jamboree, the athletes took on teams from other ISG schools while gaining valuable experience and continuing to develop as players.

The boys competed in three teams, each with its own experience of the tournament. Team 1 won all of their matches, maintaining the lead throughout its games and working together to keep play moving. Team 2 secured three wins, showing their ability to stay focused and work back into matches even when the scoreboard was against them. For Team 3, the day offered an important introduction to tournament play, giving players the chance to apply their developing skills in a competitive setting.

Coach Haidar Alaqoul highlighted the way the boys supported one another throughout the competition. Across all three teams, players encouraged their teammates and represented ISG Jubail with respect for their opponents. The day also gave each group a chance to recognize their progress and identify areas to keep working on in future practices.

The girls’ teams also took to the court with a strong sense of purpose. Under the guidance of Coach Jason Martin, both teams approached their matches with a focus on teamwork and continuous improvement. They challenged themselves throughout the competition, supported one another during difficult points and carried their sportsmanship beyond the final whistle.

For ISG Jubail athletes, Jamboree was about more than the results on the scoreboard. Each match offered a chance to learn through competition, build connections with teammates and put their training into practice. The support of families in attendance added to the experience, encouraging the players as they represented their school.
