ISG Teacher Shines at No Code/Low Code Hackathon

ISG schools proudly participated in the No Code hackathon competition organized by the Ministry of Health Saudi Arabia, facilitated through the National Technology Development Program and supported by sponsors including OutSystems. The event was held at The Garage | الكــراج at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST).

Maha Sousak, BSD Computing Teacher and Technology Coordinator, attended the hackathon as part of her leadership professional development and represented ISG schools. She led Team B, which included:

  • Amaal Alruwaily: MPH, Head of Vital Statistics at the Public Health Authority

  • Hanadi Almutairi: Care Provider and Quality Improvement Specialist

  • Waleed Al-Ward: OutSystems Developer and Administrator at AEC

Team B, along with nine other teams, competed to present innovative ideas aimed at improving medical care in Saudi Arabia using OutSystems No Code/Low Code systems.

During the two-day hackathon, teams developed and formulated their ideas and business plans to create sustainable applications that address medical problems or enhance medical services for a broad range of patients.

Maha’s team presented an innovative solution called CareNav. This system aims to solve diagnosis issues and reduce waiting times by helping caregivers and patients find appropriate care paths. By describing symptoms or answering a few questions, users can access the next suitable steps based on the latest guidelines approved by the Ministry of Health.

Maha Sousak plans to organize a trip for students to The Garage | الكــراج at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST). This excursion will provide students with the opportunity to experience transforming an idea into a sustainable business project.

We look forward to this new opportunity for our students.
