On Tuesday, December 17, we had the opportunity to host the final EYFS/KS1 Assembly on BSD’s Primary Steps. This special gathering featured guest speaker and parent Mrs. Pamela Still. Mrs. Still shared an inspiring message with the children on The Power of Dreams, encouraging them to believe in themselves and the importance of setting their sights on their aspirations.
During her talk, Mrs. Still referenced Walt Disney’s remarkable vision of building "the happiest place in the world", which began as nothing more than a dream. She shared how Disney’s determination and creativity served as a powerful reminder that great achievements often start with small, hopeful ideas. Mrs. Still also connected this concept to her own personal journey, recalling how, at the age of 11, she first began to dream big. Her heartfelt story inspired the young audience to recognize that no dream is too small or too ambitious to pursue.
To close the assembly, the children joined together to sing festive songs, filling the space with joy and warmth. This uplifting end to the final EYFS/KS1 Assembly celebrated not only the power of dreams but also the spirit of togetherness that defines the BSD community. It was a morning filled with inspiration, music, and the belief that every child has the potential to achieve something wonderful.
