Professional Development Concluded for Teacher Assistants at ISG

During the 2023-24 school year teachers, teacher assistants and school leaders will engage in professional development on how to strengthen teaching assistants as co-educators in our classrooms.

ISG provides professional development for staff to foster environments that enhance student achievement, and improve professional practice. Engaging in meaningful professional development and providing a supportive culture are the key ingredients to attaining this environment. 

Ms. Cartwright has been working with ISG for 10 years, and her visit is only one part of a bigger professional development plan for Teaching Assistants at ISG.  Other areas will include creating a TA Leadership Team, enrolling members of the team in virtual learning opportunities with NESA, and designing learning opportunities for all teachers and TAs at ISG Learns.
