Learning about health is an important part of helping young people make informed choices and understand how they can support those around them. At ISG Jubail, the Middle and High School Women’s Empowerment Club organized a Breast Cancer Awareness assembly, creating an opportunity for students to learn more about breast cancer and hear directly from a medical professional within their own community.

The assembly welcomed a doctor from the ISG Jubail parent community, who generously shared her medical knowledge and expertise with students. Having a guest speaker with a professional background in healthcare gave students the opportunity to explore the topic through an informed perspective and deepen their understanding of breast cancer.

The session also created space for an important conversation about health awareness. Learning about breast cancer helps students recognize the value of reliable information and understand why awareness matters. It also encourages thoughtful conversations with family members and others in their lives, helping make important health topics easier to approach.

The Women’s Empowerment Club played an important role in bringing the assembly to life. By taking the initiative to organize the session, club members helped create a learning opportunity that reached beyond their own group and engaged the wider middle and high school community. Their efforts reflect the value of student-led initiatives that encourage others to learn about health with a meaningful impact on people's lives.

The participation of a parent community member added another special dimension to the assembly. When families share their knowledge and professional experiences with students, they help connect classroom learning with the wider world. These connections strengthen the relationship between home and school while giving students access to perspectives that can deepen their understanding.
