British School Dhahran Celebrates Sporting Excellence at the Senior Sports Awards 2026

British School Dhahran proudly hosted its Senior Sports Awards 2026, an evening dedicated to recognising the outstanding achievements of students within the school’s sports programme and celebrating its position as the highest-performing ISG school in SAIKAC. 

The prestigious event welcomed more than 200 guests and featured a formal awards ceremony alongside a three-course dinner. During the evening, 109 trophies were presented to students in recognition of their achievements as Most Valuable Players, Coaches’ Award recipients and Emerging Players across a wide range of sports. Seven special awards were also presented, including KS3 Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year, KS4 Contribution to School Sport Awards and Male and Female Athlete of the Year honours. 

Throughout the 2025–26 season, BSD athletes achieved exceptional success, securing 10 championship titles, eight runner-up finishes and three third-place team results, while individual athletes earned a remarkable total of nine gold, ten silver and seven bronze medals. 

The ceremony was opened and closed by the PE Committee, with support from the ISG Board, whose representatives delivered a welcoming address. The Sporting Director of Al Qadsiah also attended the event, presenting the Team of the Year Award to the U19 Boys Volleyball team and highlighting the important role that physical education and school sport play in developing student success, leadership and character. The evening served as a fitting celebration of dedication, teamwork and sporting excellence across the British School Dhahran community.
