SAIKAC Awards Ceremony Honors Dedication and Growth at ISG Jubail

ISG Jubail recently gathered to celebrate a year of dedication, perseverance and achievement during the annual SAIKAC Awards Ceremony. Students, families and staff came together to recognize the many accomplishments of students who represented the school throughout the Saudi Inter-Kingdom Activities Conference (SAIKAC) season across athletics and performing arts.

The evening honored students involved in band and orchestra, tennis, table tennis, volleyball, football, basketball, cricket, cross country and badminton. Organized by Athletics Director Meisie Maja, the ceremony reflected the commitment, teamwork and character demonstrated by students throughout the year as they competed and performed alongside peers from schools across the region.

Throughout the ceremony, students were recognized for their efforts and contributions to their teams through several awards, including the Most Valuable Player (MVP), Jaguar Award, Most Improved Award and Captain Award. These recognitions celebrated a wide range of qualities, from leadership and determination to growth, resilience and commitment to their teammates.

Several team accomplishments were highlighted during the evening. The U16 girls volleyball team earned an impressive second-place finish among 16 teams at the SAIKAC tournament in Riyadh. For many of these students, the achievement reflected four years of hard work, dedication and sportsmanship together as teammates.

Cross country runners were also recognized for their determination and courage. Choosing to compete in a sport that demands endurance, discipline and mental strength requires a special level of commitment. Their efforts resulted in several top finishes while reflecting the perseverance that defines successful distance runners.

The U19 girls badminton team was celebrated for securing the Silver Plate at SAIKAC, while the U19 cricket team earned an impressive third-place finish against strong competition.

Student musicians were equally recognized for their contributions throughout the year. Performing alongside students from other schools requires preparation, collaboration and confidence. Their commitment to rehearsals and performances reflected the dedication they brought to representing ISG Jubail through music.

The ceremony concluded with remarks from ISG Athletic and Activities Director Holly Cruddas, who reflected on the growth and sportsmanship displayed by students throughout the season.

As families and staff applauded the many accomplishments recognized throughout the evening, the celebration served as a meaningful tribute to the hard work and community spirit that continue to define ISG Jubail students both on and off the field, court, stage and track.
