Back to School 2024-25

Dear Parents,

It was heartwarming to see our school hallways come alive with the energy and excitement of students returning to school this past Sunday.

I had the opportunity to welcome students and parents to campus each day as well as walk around campus to chat with students. We were thrilled to see them settling in so quickly the first few days of school. It's been a joy watching them reconnect with friends, explore new subjects and adjust to their routines.

In addition, ASD and BSD students showed additional resilience and flexibility as we had to adjust our learning environment so soon in the school year. Thank you to the ASD and BSD communities for supporting this unexpected operational situation. ISG will ensure our community is updated as soon as information is available to share.  Also, please note that the virtual school day scheduled for ASD and BSD in October will return to a minimum day with students coming to campus. More details will follow from ASD and BSD leadership teams and teachers.

For our new families, we know that transitioning to a new school can be challenging.  We appreciate your collaboration with campus and district teams as we began the year particularly when we transitioned to a virtual learning environment for our ASD and BSD students. I want to also extend my gratitude to those teams for their outstanding support.

A special thanks to your families for working alongside our admissions, nurses’, and finance teams to clear students for the beginning of the school year. We also thank our HR and Teaching and Learning departments who provided essential support in guiding parents and students to where they needed to go.  We are also grateful to the Operations team who played a crucial role in making sure everything was ready for the first day of school and who have been working continuously these past few days to get our campus back up and running for learning. In addition, thank you to the MarComm team as they were around campus this week capturing great memories to share with your families.  And of course, a heartfelt thank you to our school leaders, counselors, registrars and assistants, who were instrumental in making this first week successful.

ISG has more than 3,000 students on four different campuses with over 500 staff supporting learning at these locations. It takes a great deal of coordination and collaboration to  start the year and manage day-to-day life. When the ISG  teams are combined with the more than 6,000 parents and the external contractors who provide busing, food service, maintenance, security, etc., there are more than 10,000 individuals supporting ISG daily—both on the ground and behind the scenes. You each contributed to the success of ISG and were an integral part of this first week of the 2024-25 school year. Thank you.

We look forward to continued collaboration to support learning for our students. We know that together we will ensure this year is a success!

ISG PARTNERS WITH AP RACE SWIMMING ACADEMY

ISG is very excited to announce a new partnership with AP Race and the launch of the AP Race Swimming Academy, for all ISG students.

AP Race was founded by Triple Olympic Champion, 14x World Record Holder, Adam Peaty and his former training partner, and now Managing Director, Ed Baxter, in 2019.

Whether students are looking for their first swimming lesson to become safe around water or they have aspirations to train their way to the Olympic Games, the AP Race Swimming Academy will be able to provide our students with a world leading service.

Please read the full announcement here.

JOIN YOUR SCHOOL’S PARENT GROUP

ISG welcomes the opportunity to collaborate with parents in support of student learning. We are pleased to share that ISG has parent groups at each campus that encourage parents to engage with. Our partnership with parents is essential for the support of our learning environment.

These parent groups meet on a monthly basis to share ideas to enhance the school community as well as to organize activities like bake sales and international day. During their meetings, school leadership and counselors may also give presentations on various topics that are important to parents.

To find out more about the ASD, BSD and ISG Jubail campuses' parent groups, please see the link on the ISG Hub under your school’s School Community tab. For ISG Dammam and Sara Village School, please contact the campus office.

Thank you again to your family for choosing ISG for your child(ren)’s education.  We look forward to partnering in learning and engaging in more wonderful activities throughout the school year!

Warm wishes,

Rhonda Norris

ISG Superintendent
