ISG Jubail came together in a sea of orange to celebrate Unity Day, an initiative that promotes kindness, empathy and standing together against bullying. Students and staff filled the halls with color and positivity, creating an atmosphere that reflected care, compassion and community spirit.

In elementary school, students created posters that shared what integrity means to them and filled the hallways with inspiring quotes about kindness and respect. They also built an orange paper chain, with each link representing a shared commitment to unity and support for one another. The project became a symbol of how small acts of care can join together to create something strong and meaningful.

Middle and high school students gathered for an engaging assembly centered on understanding others’ perspectives and experiences. Each advisory group received a paper shaped like a footprint and was asked to imagine what it might feel like to walk in someone else’s shoes, especially those who have faced bullying. Through reflection and conversation, students were encouraged to think deeply about empathy, courage and how their actions can make a difference in their community.

In the days leading up to Unity Day, middle and high school advisory groups decorated their classroom doors to reflect October’s ISG Profile of Graduate theme, Integrity. Each design shared creative messages about honesty, empathy and doing what is right even when no one is watching. On Unity Day, elementary students took on the role of judges, evaluating the doors based on how well they represented the theme and communicated their message clearly. The winning advisories were announced during the assembly, adding excitement and celebration to the day’s events.

Middle and high school counselor Tricia Jordaan also spoke about the impact of cyberbullying, reminding students of the importance of using technology responsibly and supporting one another online and in person.

Unity Day at ISG Jubail was more than an occasion to wear orange. It was a reminder that every member of the community has the power to make others feel seen, valued and included. Together, students and staff celebrated what it means to stand as one ISG Jubail community built on integrity, kindness and respect.
