ISG Jubail Educators Lead Sessions at Annual ISG Learns
SHARE
ISG Jubail educators recently contributed to the annual ISG Learns event, a professional development gathering that brings together staff from all ISG schools to collaborate, exchange ideas and strengthen teaching practices. The event highlighted the power of shared learning and the expertise present across the ISG community.
The day began with a plenary session led by keynote speaker Tom Schimmer, focusing on high quality learning, assessment and feedback. His insights set the stage for a day of meaningful discussions and practical strategies that attendees could apply in their own classrooms.
ISG Jubail staff led engaging sessions across a variety of topics. Mrs. Preetha Nataraj guided participants through Yoga and Meditation for Wellbeing and Belonging. Mrs. Madiha Qamar explored Brave Brushstrokes, nurturing wellbeing through Japanese philosophies of life and mindful living. Mr. Tomas Nicolas presented AI in the Language Classroom, highlighting how emerging technologies can enhance learning experiences. Mr. Brad Dugan shared advanced tools and strategies in Level Up with Google for Education, while Mr. Dillon Sweales introduced the QFT strategy, a simple metacognitive approach for supporting student thinking.
The sessions provided colleagues with practical strategies, opportunities to reflect on their practice and moments to connect with peers from across the ISG network. Attendees left with renewed energy, new ideas and a deeper appreciation for collaboration across schools.
Thank you to all session presenters, job-alike facilitators, school and district leaders for making the event a success and for strengthening the ISG community through shared learning.
