British School Dhahran reached an exciting new milestone earlier this week with the official opening of its new Multipurpose Space (MPS), welcoming students keen to explore the impressive new facility.

Created to promote student wellbeing, physical activity and recreation, the Multipurpose Space offers a versatile indoor setting where students of all ages can remain active, build new skills and take part in a wide range of sporting activities throughout the year.

This week, students and physical education staff made the most of the new space. The indoor running track quickly proved popular, giving pupils a safe and climate-controlled environment to improve stamina while enjoying exercise. On the main court, the basketball area was adapted into badminton courts, allowing students to develop coordination, teamwork and agility.

Younger students also enjoyed exploring dedicated activity zones designed to support motor skill development through movement-based games and structured exercises. These spaces help build confidence and encourage physical development in an enjoyable and engaging way.

The opening of the Multipurpose Space reflects British School Dhahran’s ongoing commitment to providing outstanding learning environments that nurture the whole child. By bringing together fitness, recreation and skill-building under one roof, the facility creates exciting new opportunities for students to stay active while enjoying time with their peers.

As students continue to discover all the space has to offer, the Multipurpose Space is already becoming a lively centre for energy, learning and school spirit.
