A Greener Future Takes Shape at ISG Jubail

The ISG Jubail Eco Club is continuing the work it began last school year, with students coming together to build on their environmental efforts and explore new ways to make a positive difference across campus.

Last school year, the Eco Club grew to more than 60 student members representing grades 5 through 12. With students across grade levels taking part, the club has become a space where ideas can be shared, projects can take shape and students can work together toward a greener school community.

Following the submission of their application for the Green Flag, students have continued putting their ideas into action. One of their latest projects involved giving campus trash cans a fresh look, with students working together to paint them and add a little more personality to spaces used by the wider school community.

Students have also been looking ahead, spending time planning how they can continue building on the work they started last year while thinking about new initiatives they would like to introduce.

Their conversations reflect the ongoing nature of the Eco Club’s work. Students, alongside their supervisor Tricia Jordaan, are carrying forward ideas and experiences they developed last year while giving themselves space to consider what could come next. As the year continues, the Eco Club will keep meeting, planning and putting their ideas into action.
