Dear Parents,
As we approach the end of the school year, I would like to say that I am very proud of all our students and the effort and dedication they put into their school work and activities. I am proud of their growth and achievements, both academically and personally. Their resilience, creativity and enthusiasm have enriched our school environment and inspired us all. This week, we asked our Grade 11 and Year 12 students to answer the question: “What is something you are proud of?" Please click here to see what they had to share.
Congratulations to Vladimir from BSD who took second overall in his age group of under 24 at this past weekend's sprint triathlon in Jubail, organized by the Saudi Triathlon Federation. Vladimir ran a sprint triathlon of 350 meter swim (adjusted from 750 m due to the weather), 20 km bike and 5 km run. Congratulations once again on this grand achievement!
On May 19, ISG hosted its first Diploma of French Language Studies (DELF) exams for 22 students from ASD and BSD. The exam is the only lifelong diploma of French language proficiency with international recognition. Last week, our students also competed in a “la dictée”, or French spelling bee, with other students in the Eastern Province. We are proud to announce that ISG students won first place. At ISG, we recognize the importance of global languages. We are committed to our students gaining proficiency, by offering different programs and resources to support them on their journey. When students develop linguistic diversity they are able to seek another level of opportunities and thrive in an ever-connected world.
I would like to remind you that ISG will be offering our 5th annual virtual summer school program starting the week after Eid break, from June 24 - July 4, 2024. The deadline for registration is today, May 23. Please visit ISG’s 2024 Virtual Summer School webpage to view our course catalog and select from over 60 courses on offer this year. Course offerings include academic enrichment, preparatory, global languages, arts, crafts, cooking, public speaking, drawing and painting. Summer school is free for all current and incoming ISG students. Please ensure to register using your child’s ISG email address.
