ACCREDITATION & THE FUTURE OF EDUCATION
ISG is committed to maintaining the highest standards of education through its prestigious accreditations and memberships, which ensure continuous growth and excellence across all schools.
ISG is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA), a globally recognized institution that rigorously evaluates schools based on key performance areas, including academic achievement, student wellbeing and institutional leadership. The British School Dhahran and Sara Village School are also accredited by British Schools Overseas (BSO) and have been inspected by a team of inspectors approved by the British Department of Education. These schools have been inspected against a common set of standards, applicable to independent schools in England.
For more information on ISG’s accreditations and memberships, please visit our Accreditations page on the ISG website.
As part of the ongoing MSA accreditation process, ISG is developing specific goals that align with both the MSA standards and the school’s strategic vision. These goals focus on areas such as curriculum enhancement, student outcomes, and staff professional development , all designed to ensure that ISG remains a leader in global education. Accreditations not only provide external validation of the quality of our schools but also serve as a roadmap for continuous improvement, reflecting ISG’s commitment to delivering rich, responsive and relevant educational experiences for all students.
Looking to the future, ISG is actively engaging with evolving K-12 pedagogies, particularly those aimed at sustainable development, to ensure that our students are equipped with the skills and mindset necessary to thrive in a rapidly changing world. ISG’s Strategy Task Force plays a key role in supporting the integration of these future-focused pedagogies into our schools. With input from key stakeholders—teachers, parents, students and community members—we aim to create a dynamic, responsive educational environment that prepares students not only for academic success but also for responsible citizenship and leadership in a global context. This collaborative approach ensures that ISG remains strong in our academic foundations as well as at the forefront of educational innovation, while also honoring its commitment to inclusivity and student wellbeing.
The successful execution of these strategic priorities requires careful financial investment and ongoing stakeholder engagement. ISG understands that achieving its ambitious goals, such as those set within the MSA accreditation process, is a shared responsibility that relies on the collective support of the entire school community. By investing in advanced learning spaces, technology and staff development, ISG ensures that our students benefit from an enriched, forward-thinking educational experience. With support from school leadership and ongoing communication with stakeholders, ISG is confident in its ability to lead the future of K-12 education, fostering a sustainable, innovative learning environment for generations to come giving our students an edge on their futures.
STUDENT-CENTERED LEARNING FOR A WELL-ROUNDED EDUCATION
At ISG, we are dedicated to fostering a student-centered learning environment where students take ownership of their educational journey. This approach empowers learners with student agency, giving them the autonomy to make choices about their learning process within the well-developed learning opportunities provided by ISG.
By placing students at the center, we encourage critical thinking, problem-solving and creativity—skills essential for navigating today’s ever-changing world. With a focus on real-world relevance, our curriculum connects academic concepts to practical applications, preparing students to engage meaningfully with global challenges.
We also recognize the importance of a well-rounded education, which goes beyond the traditional classroom experience. By offering a variety of enrichment activities, students have the opportunity to explore their interests, develop new talents and build social and leadership skills. Whether through extracurricular clubs, sports or community service, these activities enrich the educational experience and help cultivate well-balanced individuals who are ready to contribute to society.
Our commitment to student-centered learning and enrichment activities ensures that every student is provided with the tools they need for success, both in school and beyond. By nurturing real-world relevance and student agency, ISG creates a dynamic learning environment where students are motivated to grow, achieve and make a lasting impact.
COBIS PROGRAMME FOR MIDDLE LEADERS LAUNCHED
This week, 15 of our dedicated teachers are participating in a three-day COBIS Programme for Middle Leaders training, reflecting ISG’s ongoing commitment to professional development and educational excellence.
This program equips our teachers with the skills and leadership tools needed to enhance their impact both in the classroom and within the wider school community.
At ISG, we prioritize the growth of our staff by investing in opportunities that foster leadership and innovation, ensuring that our educators remain at the forefront of global educational practices. Through initiatives like this, we continue to support our vision of delivering exceptional student learning experiences.

COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS
AmCham is a significant community partner to ISG. Our leadership is engaged in AmCham events on a regular basis providing for the creation and nurturing of connections within our community through the AmCham membership.
Beyond the engagement in AmCham events, ISG also contributes to the important development of the AmCham Education Committee with Hans Ott, ISG Director of Teaching and Learning, as a co-chair of this relatively new AmCham Committee. In addition, I am engaged with AmCham Education Committee to assess and research the evolution and direction of education within the Kingdom to collaborate on presenting ideas and sharing potential pathways forward in this evolution.
As an extension of our collaboration with the AmCham Education Committee, ISG will be hosting a Women in Leadership event in early December that will create an opportunity to connect, share, and educate. The attendees at this event will be existing women leaders, aspiring women leaders, and ISG female students.
PARENTS AS PARTNERS
At ISG, we firmly believe that parents are invaluable partners in the education of our students. Your involvement plays a crucial role in shaping the academic success and personal growth for our students.
We encourage all parents to actively participate in their child's learning journey by staying informed, engaging with teachers and campus leadership, and through joining our Parent-Teacher Group (PTG) meetings and events. These experiences provide an excellent opportunity to collaborate with other parents as well as ISG staff, share ideas to benefit students, and contribute to the development of a vibrant school community.

BSD PROSPECTUSES
Our ISG Teaching and Learning Office creates information to be shared within our community assisting parents with keeping updated on the great learning at ISG. In today’s news, we are sharing the prospectuses for the British School Dhahran (BSD). We will also be sharing similar documents for the American curriculum in the near future through the weekly news.
We are happy to share the updated versions of the British School Dhahran Key Stage 4 (IGCSE) and Key Stage 5 (A level) prospectuses. This information can also be found on the BSD Senior School page, under Quick Links.
These documents feature BSD’s academic results over the years, information about school life and also describe the courses and expectations for each learning level. They are equivalent to course catalogs in the American schools. Please keep current on the learning at BSD and feel free to share these links with friends and others in the community who are interested in learning more about as well as joining BSD.
