Middle school students at ASD recently had the exciting opportunity to participate in a STEM workshop led by engineers from BAE Systems.
The workshop featured a hands-on exploration of design concepts, motion principles, and the forces behind aerodynamics. Using provided materials, students crafted various paper airplane designs and tested their creations in friendly competitions. With guidance from the BAE Systems team, they explored how structural adjustments could improve speed, distance, and flight trajectory.
This engaging morning exemplified ASD’s commitment to fostering a dynamic, project-based learning environment that inspires curiosity and innovation in our students.
