BSD U16 Basketball Teams Clinch Gold and Silver at SAIKAC Tournament

The BSD girls and boys U16 basketball teams have once again made our school proud by securing the gold and silver medals respectively at the recent SAIKAC basketball tournament held on March 21.  With exceptional skill, teamwork and determination, our athletes displayed their prowess on the court, securing victory in an exciting showcase of athleticism.

Known for their tenacity and strong camaraderie, the U16 basketball teams have consistently proven themselves to be a force to be reckoned with in the competitive sports arena. Their latest triumph adds to the string of successes that the basketball program at our school has achieved over the years, reflecting the dedication and hard work of both the players and their coaches.

The victory at the SAIKAC tournament underscores the importance of competitive sports in our school community. Beyond the exhilaration of victory, participation in such events fosters essential life skills such as discipline, resilience and teamwork. It instills in our students a sense of sportsmanship and determination, qualities that are invaluable both on and off the court.

At British School Dhahran, we are committed to providing our students with opportunities to excel in various aspects of their lives, including athletics. Through our robust sports programs, we aim to nurture well-rounded individuals who are not only academically proficient but also physically fit, socially adept and emotionally resilient.

Congratulations to our girls and boys U16 basketball teams and coaches Rosie Hepworth, Kelly Colleran, Rufino Mabborang and Maria Anasco on their outstanding achievement! We applaud their hard work and dedication and look forward to witnessing their continued success in future competitions.
