Building Stronger Connections: Highlights from the Monthly PTG Meeting

ASD hosted our monthly Parent-Teacher Group (PTG) meeting, bringing together our school community for an engaging and insightful session. The meeting began with a warm introduction from our principal, followed by a creative icebreaker activity organized by our Elementary Librarian. Parents were given tokens and paired up to introduce themselves and their children who attend ASD. It was truly heartwarming to see parents connecting and fostering relationships that help build a strong and supportive bond within our ASD community.

The meeting continued with a discussion on the importance of background knowledge as a "toolbox" for students, helping them make sense of what they learn. The session highlighted the significance of balancing rest with enriching activities, sparking curiosity in everyday life, and supporting the development of confident and resilient children.

The PTG also outlined upcoming events and expectations for the year ahead. We are proud to witness our community coming together, strengthening relationships, and creating lasting bonds that continue to enrich our school environment.

Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to the opportunities ahead as we work together to nurture our students’ growth.
