As the academic year draws to a close, British School Dhahran recently hosted a memorable event to celebrate the transition of Year 6 students from primary to senior school. The Year 6 Leavers event was a poignant occasion filled with reflection, gratitude and anticipation for the exciting journey ahead.

The event, held in the school's gymnasium, brought together students, parents, teachers and special guests to commemorate this significant milestone in the students' educational journey. Among the distinguished speakers were the superintendent, Dr. Michael Mack, and Principal David Bolton, who delivered heartfelt speeches congratulating the students on their achievements and expressing their pride in witnessing this momentous occasion.

Dr. Mack and Principal Bolton commended the Year 6 students for their dedication, resilience and growth throughout their primary years, emphasizing the importance of embracing new challenges and opportunities as they transition to senior school. Their inspiring words served as a source of motivation and encouragement for the students as they embark on the next chapter of their academic pursuits.
During the event, students were presented with certificates commemorating their completion of primary school, symbolizing their readiness to take on the challenges of senior school with confidence and determination. In addition to receiving certificates, students took center stage to share songs and short presentations, reminiscing about their favorite memories and experiences from their time in primary school.

A special acknowledgement to all the Year 6 teachers; Ewoud Botha, Sarah Charlesworth,  Steve McMahon, Barry Maher, Dolores Powell and Primary Headteacher, Dufney Botha, for their unwavering support, guidance and mentorship throughout the students' primary education journey.
