Truman Group Engages with Parents at ISG Dammam

On November 26, ASD had the privilege of hosting Dr. Sean Truman, a Clinical Psychologist and the Chief Medical Officer and cofounder of the Truman Group, a practice that provides remote mental health care to individuals around the world. Dr. Truman led an insightful workshop as part of our ISG Learns event, offering valuable strategies and perspectives on how to support children in today’s rapidly changing world.

Dr. Truman’s visit began with a session for our faculty, where he shared practical insights for supporting students in the ever-evolving educational landscape. He then dedicated time to ASD parents, offering a tailored workshop that focused on understanding the challenges children face and providing tools to assist them in navigating their academic, emotional, and social growth.

The parent workshop was met with enthusiasm, drawing a number of attendees eager to expand their knowledge. Dr. Truman’s presentation was both practical and thought-provoking, offering actionable strategies that parents can apply in their daily lives. His advice, grounded in research and real-world experience, equipped the ASD community with the tools necessary to foster their children’s development in meaningful ways.

At ASD, we recognize the importance of continuous learning—not only for our students but also for our families. Workshops like these are part of our ongoing commitment to strengthening the bonds within our community. By ensuring that both students and parents have the resources and support they need to thrive, we foster an environment that promotes growth and development for all.

By offering such professional development opportunities, ASD positions itself as a school leading in education, not only for our students but also for our faculty and families. Our commitment to bringing the community together through professional assistance and education for parents reinforces our holistic approach. This empowers our community to grow together, ensuring that both students and families can flourish in their academic and personal pursuits.
