ASD Elementary and Middle School Art Competition

The ASD art department hosted two art competitions for elementary and middle school students before spring break. It was an opportunity to create art, like no other!

The theme of the competition was "Passing on Our Precious Earth to The Future”;  What do humans, animals, plants and all of our companions living on Earth need to continue living healthily and happily? Clean water and air, rich soil, sunlight, moonlight. Earth is abundant with wonderful environments that protect and nurture life.

Participants were asked to draw scenes of our Earth that you would like to pass on to the future.  This art competition served as a powerful catalyst for fostering environmental awareness and sustainability. Students from elementary and middle school  enthusiastically participated, channeling their creativity to express profound messages about the pressing issues our planet faces.

The young artists skillfully conveyed their perspectives and the competition not only showcased the remarkable artistic talents within our school but also sparked meaningful conversations about the role of art in advocating for positive change. The thought-provoking pieces not only highlighted the beauty of our world but also served as a poignant reminder of our collective responsibility to preserve and protect it.
