Elementary Phonics Celebration

Learning to read big words takes big resolve!

Our elementary students have been working very hard to use phonics strategies to read big words. They demonstrated the different strategies they learned this week.

Beginning and endings of words were posted on the walls of the gym. Students were provided with ideas to use those beginnings and endings to make more complex words. Students took the challenge to link these beginnings and endings to form new words, which they posted on the wall as well.

Students were eager to demonstrate their understanding and were encouraged by their supportive teachers. We are proud of our students in taking on new challenges and supporting each other in their learning.
