Elementary Writing Celebration

Our elementary students presented their informational texts to their peers during their end of the unit celebration.

During the informational text unit,  students conducted research on a country of their choosing as well as an animal. They created two informational texts, one for each subject. The texts included chapters on a variety of topics that were of interest to them and illustrated their texts to add visual interest to their work.

During the writing celebration, students shared their texts, reading and explaining what they learned to their peers and other teachers. Those who visited the celebration provided feedback, sharing what they liked about the presentation and information.

We are proud of how our elementary students engaged with their research, not only retelling in text what they learned, but also verbally sharing what they learned.
