Ensuring Child Protection: A Priority at ASD

At American School Dhahran, the safety and wellbeing of our students are paramount. That's why we take proactive measures to educate our students about child protection through continuous lessons conducted by our dedicated counselor.

These child protection lessons are integrated into the curriculum across elementary and middle school, ensuring that students receive age-appropriate and relevant information on how to recognize, prevent and respond to various situations.

Led by our experienced counselor, these sessions cover a range of topics, including identifying safe and unsafe situations, understanding personal boundaries, recognizing signs of abuse and knowing how to seek help from trusted adults.
Through interactive activities, discussions and role-playing scenarios, students are empowered with the knowledge and skills they need to protect themselves and their peers. They learn the importance of speaking up if they ever feel unsafe or uncomfortable and are encouraged to trust their instincts.

Moreover, our counselor fosters an open and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and sharing their concerns. This ensures that every child feels heard and supported, further strengthening our school community.

By providing ongoing child protection lessons, we equip our students with the tools they need to navigate the complexities of the world while promoting a culture of safety, respect and empowerment within our school.

At ASD, we are committed to creating a nurturing and secure environment where every child can thrive and reach their full potential. If you have any questions or concerns about our child protection program, please don't hesitate to contact us.
