On Sunday, May 12, middle school social studies students participated in a gallery walk, displaying the projects they had developed on ancient civilizations.
The project was broken down into three phases to help students understand the importance of research and preparation. Throughout the unit, students delved into the depths of different ancient civilizations, exploring, investigating and analyzing each culture's social, economic, political, historical and geographical aspects.
The students developed a comprehensive understanding of various ancient cultures through research, critical analysis and creative expression. They showcased their findings innovatively, including producing maps, creative “artifacts”, dressing up and creating slideshows to display and demonstrate their learning.
During the gallery walk, peers and teachers explored the exhibits created by each group. This project provided valuable learning opportunities for students, including developing research skills, critical thinking, creativity and communication abilities.
