High School Innovation Expo

High school students from the web design, computer-aided design and graphic design classes presented their work at the Innovation Expo on Tuesday, December 10.

Students presenting at the expo shared their creative ideas for solving various big and small problems.  Their solution-orientated designs included innovative ideas such as creating a traffic lane that can charge electric cars, an AI-powered eye that can help those with vision loss, and a device that can detect pH disruption in the ocean and warn sea life.

Students created websites to demonstrate their products, describe the purpose and audience, and design an online prototype.  Staff and middle school students attended the expo with their teachers to learn from their peers.

This event provided an excellent opportunity for middle school students to gain inspiration and insights while allowing our high school presenters to showcase their creations and feel a sense of pride and ownership in their work.
