NHS Volleyball Tournament

The National Honor Society at ASD hosted their first volleyball tournament on Thursday, January 11. ASD students formed eight teams that played against each other in a wonderful display of athleticism and sportsmanship.

“Mayas Boutique” won against “Whipped Creamers” in the last set, 15-14. The students enjoyed the closely contested game evident in their creative choice of team names. Winners received a large trophy and gold medals. 

Although this was the first year running the NHS volleyball tournament, due to its success it is shaping up to be an annual event. Thanks to Mr. Edwin Segbefia and and Ms. Vernice Salamanca for sponsoring the NHS club and to all the NHS members that worked together to make the event a success.
