At British School Dhahran, we believe resilience is important for both success and wellbeing.
The Raising Strong Minds workshop series presented by Ms Eimear McDaid was created to help parents build resilience in themselves and their children. Based on the latest research in positive psychology, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and neuroscience, these workshops offer proven strategies to improve emotional and mental health for the whole family. Parents will learn simple, practical tools to help face challenges and grow stronger together.
The sessions will run on the following days: January 9, 16 and February 6, 13, 1:00-2:30 p.m. at the BSD cafeteria.
Each session in the workshop is interactive, giving parents a chance to participate in activities and discussions. Parents will gain a better understanding of how resilience develops and learn ways to strengthen their own resilience, as well as their child’s. The workshops cover topics like stress management, emotional control, and developing a positive mindset, giving parents useful skills to use every day.
The goal of the Raising Strong Minds workshops is to support families in growing together. By combining education and practical tools, these sessions will help parents raise more resilient children and build stronger family bonds.
