ISG Dammam-ISG- Middle School Inter-school Debate 2025

On May 24, the ISG Dammam Middle School Debate Club proudly hosted the highly anticipated Inter-School Debate Competition (ISDC), welcoming talented debaters from ASD and BSD to join in a spirited exchange of ideas. With a strong tradition of nurturing debate skills, ISG Dammam’s club once again set the stage for excellence, challenging students to tackle thought-provoking topics such as video games, artificial intelligence, solar and renewable energy, genetic modification and standardized testing.

The event was a remarkable experience for all participants, who impressed the audience and judges alike with their persuasive arguments and confident delivery. After several rounds of intense debate, ISG Dammam’s Team 1 emerged victorious, claiming 1st place with their enthusiastic and articulate performance. ASD 2 secured a well-deserved 2nd place, while Dammam 3 took home the 3rd prize.

In addition to the team awards, special trophies were presented to five outstanding speakers from ASD, BSD and ISG Dammam, recognizing their exceptional skills in persuasion and public speaking.

Heartfelt thanks go to Ms. Nadia Iqbal, the organizer and Debate Club mentor, whose vision and expertise were instrumental in preparing the students for success. Appreciation is also extended to the activity coordinator, Ms. Betsey Hawkins, for her unwavering support in making the event a resounding success. The event was met with high praise from the parents' community and judges alike, marking it as a remarkable experience for all involved.

The ISDC at ISG Dammam was not just a competition, but a celebration of critical thinking, teamwork, and the power of young voices. Congratulations to all participants and winners!
