Thank you to all parents who contributed to our survey last week. I am very pleased to share with you that 95% of our parents are planning to allow their children to return to in-person learning on October 31, 2021. It is also very reassuring that 96% of ISG households are now fully vaccinated. I would like to reassure those who raised concerns, as this information will help us in supporting our parent community as our youngest students return. As a reminder, once we have transitioned back to in-person learning, we will no longer offer a virtual platform simultaneously.
We are pleased that over 200 parents have registered for the NESA's Parents as Partners webinar series. If you have not done so, please click here to register and get access to live and recorded webinars throughout the year. The next webinar is scheduled for October 19, 2021.
Over the past few weeks, it has been great to see some of our after school activities taking place for our older, fully vaccinated students, within the required safety protocols. ISG’s football, volleyball and table tennis teams have all been practicing and, on the Dhahran campus, our rock climbing wall is finally back in use. Our Model United Nations, National Honor Society and Student Council groups have also been meeting. BSD is currently holding elections for house captains at the senior school. The voting is well underway, so we look forward to congratulating the successful candidates. Yesterday, ASD held their first piano recital for students since the pandemic began. Please find some photos of the event here. I am sure that you will join me in congratulating all of the students who took part for their hard work and dedication.
The fall volleyball season is well underway and in preparation for the SAIKAC volleyball tournaments, students from all of our schools have been taking part in jamboree games for the under 14s, 16s and 19s. We are looking forward to getting sports tournaments underway in schools again after such a long break.
