Shark Tank Presentations Showcase Innovation and Entrepreneurship at ISG Dammam

The Business Studies class at ISG Dammam recently came alive with innovation and energy during the Shark Tank Presentations, the culminating event of this year’s EconFair project. After months of preparation, students stepped into the spotlight to present and defend their business ideas, bringing together everything they had learned throughout the school year.

From the early stages of brainstorming to conducting market research and refining their concepts, students demonstrated commitment and determination in building their ventures. By the time of the presentations, each group had developed a complete business plan that included financial projections, cost estimates, marketing strategies, survey results, video advertisements and poster designs, along with product samples that will be featured in the upcoming EconFair.

Presenting to a panel of judges added an exciting layer of authenticity to the experience. The panel, made up of teachers alongside High School Assistant Principal Mr. Stephen Pire, Interim Principal Mr. Trevor Naidoo and ISG Superintendent Mrs. Rhonda Norris, took on the role of “sharks,” listening carefully as students pitched their ideas and responded to thoughtful questions. In front of both the judges and their peers, students showcased not only their creativity and entrepreneurial thinking, but also their confidence and ability to think on their feet.

The Shark Tank Presentations highlighted the strength of experiential learning at ISG Dammam. More than just an academic task, this project allowed students to apply real-world skills in a meaningful way, from communication and collaboration to problem-solving and innovation. As they move forward to the Econ Fair, students carry with them not only refined business ideas, but also the experience of turning those ideas into something tangible and impactful.
