We are happy to share the approved 2025-26 student calendar with our ISG community. Please know you can always find the calendar on our website and ISG Hub under the community tab.
ISG’S COMMITMENT TO NURTURING TEACHER GROWTH AND STUDENT SUCCESS
Every year, the ISG Teaching and Learning Office organizes site-wide events dedicated to the training and development of our teachers and staff: ISG Convocation held in August and ISG Learns held in November. These schoolwide learning opportunities for staff are complemented by time spent in the campus-led Minimum Days. Research shows that professional development focused on instructional practice, not content, including key teaching strategies and support for changes in the classroom, are most effective in improving student learning.
Our staff are preparing for the upcoming ISG Learns conference to be held in a few weeks. The theme for this year’s conference will continue to be Acceptance, Inclusion and Respect, and presentations and discussions on this day will provide opportunities for staff to build on ideas and strategies that will enhance the learning experiences for their students.
ISG is also fortunate to have a guest speaker, Sean Truman, from the Truman Group. Mr. Truman was scheduled to come to ISG in August but could not make it, so we are pleased to have him join us this month at the ISG Learns Conference.
At ISG, we believe strongly in the importance of staff development and continuous learning. Events like the ISG Learns conference offer invaluable opportunities for our teachers and staff to engage with one another and experts in the field, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. These conferences also provide a platform for sharing knowledge on teaching methodologies, student engagement and the latest educational research, helping our team stay on the cutting edge of education.
Our commitment to professional development is a cornerstone of ISG and ties in with our strategic goals of learner agency and system coherence. By investing time in preparing for these conferences, we ensure that our teachers are equipped with the skills and tools they need to provide a world-class education to our students.
U14 VOLLEYBALL JAMBOREE
Last weekend, our athletes came together at the Dhahran campus for an action-packed day at the ISG U14 Volleyball Jamboree. Boys’ and Girls’ teams from each ISG campus participated in a series of friendly matches, using the opportunity to sharpen their skills and strengthen their teamwork as they gear up for the upcoming SAIKAC tournaments. The jamboree allowed students to connect with peers from across ISG, enhancing both their game strategies and their sense of community.
It was inspiring to see each team compete with pride while forming friendships and camaraderie that reached beyond school lines. We’re incredibly proud of the commitment and sportsmanship our players displayed, and we look forward to cheering them on as they continue to grow both on and off the court.
ISG’S CULTURALLY RESPONSIVE CLASSROOMS
ISG’s culturally responsive classrooms are designed to reflect the diverse cultural backgrounds of our students, creating an inclusive environment where respect and acceptance are foundational. By integrating international education models, we provide unique learning opportunities that honor each student’s nationality and identity, making their experiences central to the learning process. This approach not only enriches classroom discussions but also strengthens students' understanding of their own and others' cultural experiences, nurturing empathy and a global perspective.
Through our international curriculum, ISG is committed to delivering excellence in education by fostering an environment where students from various backgrounds can thrive together. Our culturally responsive classrooms help students build connections across cultures, creating a platform for academic and personal growth. By incorporating cultural responsiveness into the various aspects of learning, ISG prepares students to engage thoughtfully with the world, laying the foundation for lifelong respect, curiosity and understanding across diverse communities.
ISG’S CAMPUS IDENTITIES AND SENSE OF SPACE
ISG’s campus identities and sense of space are deeply rooted in the unique histories and cultures of each campus, blending school history with the evolution of school facilities to create a welcoming space that embodies each community's distinct character. Each campus is designed to reflect its own story, combining past traditions with modern elements that support both learning and connection. This approach ensures that each ISG campus is a vibrant, unique environment where students, teachers, and families feel a strong sense of belonging.
A defining feature of each ISG campus is the role of student voice and student engagement which are a part of shaping the identity of their campus. Through unique activities and collaborative events, students actively contribute to their campus’ culture, bringing their perspectives and energy into every aspect of campus life. This emphasis on student involvement allows for cultivating a lively and inclusive atmosphere, where students take pride in their campus and develop a meaningful connection to its identity and community.

CAMPUS IMPROVEMENTS
We are happy to share that lighting has been installed around the ISG Dammam football field allowing for events and activities to continue after sunset.
Our operations team plays a crucial role in ensuring that each ISG campus remains safe, functional, aligned with learning and welcoming for students and staff. Throughout the year, they conduct regular repairs and updates across all facilities, addressing everything from minor fixes to significant enhancements. This proactive approach helps keep our campuses in top shape and allows for seamless day-to-day operations, creating an environment where learning and community engagement can thrive.
Some of these efforts are specifically geared toward preparing for the rainy season, when added precautions are necessary to protect facilities and maintain accessibility. In addition to seasonal preparations, the majority of their work focuses on routine maintenance, like repairing floors and tiles, repainting, washing flags and replacing sand on the playgrounds, which ensures that classrooms, common areas and outdoor spaces remain in optimal condition year-round. We are grateful for the dedication and foresight of our operations team, each ISG campus reflects a high standard of care, comfort and readiness for any season.

SVS CAMPUS IMPROVEMENTS
As part of Sara Village School's commitment to eco-friendly initiatives, their classrooms are getting greener! They’ve recently purchased new plants that were distributed by their dedicated Eco Council, and each class took on the responsibility of caring for their plant.
This initiative not only brings a touch of nature into their learning spaces but also offers students hands-on experience in nurturing, sustainability and achieving their eco-project goals and also making them active participants in caring for their environment.
